12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head of young child with sculpted white Dutch bonnet decorated with delicate roses and trailing vines, incised holes at bonnet corners for insertion of ribbons, painted facial features, intaglio blue eyes, white eyedots, black upper eyeliner, short feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with downcast lips, accent line between the lips, composition bent limb baby body, antique costume, holding tiny old golden teddy. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Heubach (sunburst mark) Germany 7977. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912, their model known as Baby Stuart. Value Points: very fine quality bisque and modeling on the sculpted cap pouty baby.
