Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, delicately painted lashes, lightly feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, shaded lips, four porcelain teeth, brunette wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, body repainted. Marks: Max Handwerck Bebe Elite 286/10 Germany. Comments: Max Handwerck, circa 1915. Value Points: with expressive features, the doll wears his original tailor-made bridegroom tuxedo, commissioned from tailor at a cost of $45; the doll was referred to by Carole Jean Zvonar as "the worried bridegroom".
