Description
11" (28 cm.) A bisque head with blue glass eyes, painted features, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig, is attached to a ball-shaped body that disguises a musical mechanism, and supported by a wooden handle. The figure is costumed as a jester with metallic trimmed costume, lace collars and jester cap. When twirled, music plays. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, possibly Zinner and Sohne, circa 1890. Value Points: wearing original costume, very beautiful face, a well-detailed actual musical tune is heard rather than more commonly found musical notes.
