19" (48 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-lined bisque shoulder plate, slender facial modeling with full cheeks, brown glass inset eyes, dark painted lashes, short brush-stroked brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with downcast pouty lips, dimpled chin, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig in upswept fashion, kid gusset-jointed fashion body with slightly elongated torso, bisque forearms in unusual attachment so only thumbs touch the sides of the gown. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 9 H 949. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1885. Value Points: acquired by Carole Jean Zvonar from its original New Hampshire family owners, the closed mouth, swivel head lady wears her original (frail) ivory silk satin wedding dress.
