18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head with slender facial modeling, blue glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, painted lower lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, brunette human hair in upswept coiffure, composition and wooden ball-jointed lady body with shapely torso, modeled bosom, waist and derriere. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1159 Germany Halbig S&H 6 (head) Bebe Jumeau Diplome d'Honneur (body). Comments: with original bisque head commissioned from Simon and Halbig, the series of Edwardian costumed ladies appeared in the 1912 catalog of SFBJ. Value Points: wonderful all-original fashionable lady, with original body and body finish, wearing original blue woolen fitted suit, lace blouse, matching wool cap, undergarments, and brown leather boots. The doll was acquired by Carole Jean Zvonar from its original Boston family owners.
