Description
21" (53 cm.) All wooden carved doll, socket head, sculpted short brown bobbed hair with pink hair band, intaglio blue eyes with large black pupils and white eye dots, black upper eyeliner, fringed brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line and high upper lip, spring-jointed wooden body, holes in feet for posing. Condition: generally excellent, one craze line on forehead. Marks: Schoenhut Doll Pat. Jan. 17, '11 USA (decal). Comments: Schoenhut, model 105, the model appeared in four different sizes, this being the largest, and appears to only have been made for a few years, circa 1912. Value Points: rare model in virtually pristine original condition, with gleaming complexion, wearing original blue chambray dress and bloomers, Schoenhut stockings, and with original Schoenhut shoes.
