17" (43 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head with rounded face, black sculpted hair arranged in a multitude of arranged horizontal curls with fine stippling onto the forehead, painted facial features, blue eyes, red and black eyeliner, single stroke brows, closed mouth with upturned lip corners as though smiling, accent line between the lips, muslin stitch-jointed body, porcelain lower limbs, painted green boots, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent, finger tips rough. Comments: Germany, circa 1875. Value Points: beautiful face, rare model to find with black hair.
