Description

25" (64 cm.) h. 23"w. An upright piano with wonderful cabinet featuring fancy heavy carved legs, faux foot pedals, separate music rack, hinged key cover,22 keys with actual notes, is decorated with superb gilt and red stencils in elaborate scrolls and garlands, along with Schoenhut emblems and gold lettering "Schoenhut" in Germanic script. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Schoenhut of Philadelphia, circa 1900, the piano was acquired by Carole Jean Zvonar from its original family owners in Pennsylvania. Value Points: very deluxe toy piano whose size and quality of music allowed its actual use by a young child learning to play, superb decorations are perfectly preserved.
