18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head with rich brown complexion and elongated facial modeling with full cheeks, brown glass sleep eyes, black painted lashes and brush-stroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, shaded and outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, black mohair fleecy wig, brown composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SH 1029 8 (incised) D.R.P. 56562 (red stamp). Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1890. Value Points: rare model, virtually unknown with brown complexion, having lovely painting, original body and body finish, antique nursing costume.
