Bisque head with flanged neck depicting the uniquely designed Kewpie, bald pate excepting classic blonde topknot, forelock curl and above-the-ears curls, painted black side-glancing eyes, short curly lashes, dash brows, little pug nose, closed mouth with thin-line impish smile, cheek dimples, original pink muslin stitch-jointed body, bisque hands with starfish-shaped modeled fingers, sculpted blue wings. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Made in Germany 7377 (head) 5 (arms) (frail remains of original cloth Kewpie tag on dress). Comments: Kewpie, designed by Rose O'Neill, circa 1912.
