Condition: generally excellent. Marks: D made in Germany 20 142. Comments: Kestner, circa 1900. Value Points: largest size of this model, having fine bisque and original body finish, wearing antique blue woolen fireman's uniform with silver buttons embossed "Philadelphia F.D." along with original fireman's hat. The hat bears the emblem of Wm Horstmann Company, Philadelphia and the jacket and pants have the label of "Wm. Leopold, 6th & South St, Philadelphia". The doll was displayed in the tailor shop window of Leopold at the turn of the last century, a model for the tailor-made uniforms available from that shop, until its acquisition by Carole Jean Zvonar for her private collection
