17" (43 cm.) h. nanny. Bisque head lady with spiral-threaded blue eyes, painted lashes and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, carton torso and lower legs, hinged hips, bisque forearms, lovely silk nanny costume, is standing behind a wooden stroller which is hidden attached to her torso, and in which is resting a small bisque head doll with painted blue eyes and closed mouth, antique silk costume. When wound, the lady briskly walks along, thereby pushing the carriage, moving head side to side and waving the rattle she holds in her right hand. Condition: generally excellent, mechanism functions well. Comments: Vichy, circa 1865. Value Points: charming mechanical toy with beautiful presentation, the bisque lady face is especially gorgeous.
