20" (51 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head with oval facial shape, elongated throat, sculpted bonnet that covers the complete back of head and forms a frame around the face, the bonnet decorated with blue, yellow and rose flowers and leaves in the Dresden manner, fully modeled ears with applied Dresden flower earrings, painted blue eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth,(newer) muslin body with porcelain limbs, painted lustre boots, early muslin gown, undergarments. Condition: generally excellent, hairlines on replaced legs, small chip at bottom back corner of shoulder plate. Comments: Germany, circa 1885.
