Bisque socket head with solid flattened dome, large blue glass inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brush-stroked brows with feathered detail, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, brunette hand-tied human hair wig, Sonneberg composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 183 17. Comments: maker unknown, circa 1885. Value Points: superb large size model of the French-type child, made to capture that market, having finest quality bisque and painting, gorgeous antique costume, bonnet, undergarments, black leather shoes.
