Description

11" (28 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with smiling expression and suggestion of painted teeth, original brunette mohair wig in coiled braids, plaster pate, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, wearing original muslin chemise and leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent, 184 model has small eye rim flake. Marks: 185 (on full doll, other heads marked 174 (open mouth), 134 (black doll) 184 (pouty doll). Comments: Kestner, circa 1910, the multi-head set was introduced during their art character reform production. Value Points: wonderful unplayed with condition, the wigs in pristine factory-original condition as is the doll body and costume, preserved in original box with Kestner label.
