14" (36 cm.) Bisque shoulder head with elongated facial modeling, full cheeks, blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes and brows with feathered detail, accented nostrils and eye corners, slightly parted outlined lips, four tiny teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, kid gusset jointed body, bisque lower arms and hands. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 309 S. Comments: mystery maker, circa 1885, Sonneberg, the doll was styled and costumed to capture the French doll market. Value Points: pretty doll with long-faced modeling, very sturdy body, wearing her factory original silk French-style dress, matching bonnet, undergarments, shoes and socks.
