17" (43 cm.) Pale bisque shoulder head with plump facial shape, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted short lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, unpierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French kid gusset-jointed body, kid over wooden upper arms,bisque arms to above the elbows, separately sculpted fingers. Condition: generally excellent, one finger broken. Marks: F.G. (back shoulder plate) Brevete SGDG (front torso). Comments: Gaultier, circa 1865. Value Points: beautiful expression and bisque, brilliant eyes, original body with bisque hands, antique costume.
