Pressed bisque socket head with plump facial modeling, brown glass enamel inset eyes, dark eye liner, painted lashes, brush-stroked and feathered brows, mauve blushed eye shadow, brush stroked and multi-feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with white space between the shaded and outlined lips, separately modeled pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: EJ (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: earliest period of the EJ model has very lovely bisque, sculpting and painting, original body and body finish, and wears early maroon woolen dress with handmade lace, undergarments, knit stockings, earrings, leather shoes impressed with full figure of doll and "Vandeput Bruxelles", the Brussels doll shop from which the bebe was originally sold.
