Description

16" (41 cm.) A wooden doll trunk with canvas cover and iron and brass decorations and trim, has domed top, original paper covered interior, and two lift-out trays. The trunk contains a plethora of early handwork including 18 samples of different types of needlework (buttonholes, embroidery, ruching, and such) each bearing a stitched on paper label with the childish script written name of Marie Therese Krausbauer. Also included is a bounty of black and cream lace, silk fringe, an embroidery sample book, and an alphabet sampler dated 1869.
