17" (43 cm.) x 14". A young child, seated in profile, is painted in soft colors, wearing a white bonnet with detailed embroidery and blue ribbons, against an abstract shaded background, in (new) gilded wooden frame. Excellent condition. Mid-19th century, unsigned.
