Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, lushly painted lashes, brush-stroked and feathered brows, pierced ears, brunette human hair hand-tied wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: E. 3 D. Comments: E. Douillet, for Emile Jumeau, circa 1890, the doll was a signature model for the long-time and trusted Jumeau worker, Emile-Michel Douillet, who had been mentored by Jumeau. Value Points: hard to find model with appealing expression, fine quality of bisque and painting, antique mariner costume.
