Description
A heavy cardboard box has an engraved lid scene of eight women, each wearing her national folklore costume, and label in four languages "Female National Costumes of Europe". The box contains two single-sided heavy cardboard paper dolls, two ebony wooden stands, costumes depicting the same costumes as those shown on the cover, and a single sheet showing each of the costumes with the nationality indicated. Both the lid and the costumes are enhanced with spot varnish. Germany, circa 1865. Excellent condition.
