Description
The three piece fashion ensemble of natural linen in rich brown color features a fitted jacket that flares neatly over the hips, with full length coat sleeves and graduated width cuffs, full length skirt with flat front, back gathers, and a back of pleats at the hem, and an overskirt that could be worn buttoned or unbuttoned at the front. The gown is rich decorated with handmade rick-rack, pearl buttons, handmade button holes, and elaborate soutache embroidery. 4 1/2" shoulder width. 16" overall length. To fit lady doll about 20". Excellent condition. Circa 1867.
