17" (43 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, lushly painted lashes, widely brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with shaded and accented lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair hand-tied wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, body finish rubbed with some paint flaking on arms. Marks: Depose Tete Jumeau 7 (head) Bebe Jumeau Bte SGDG Depose (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1892. Value Points: lovely bisque and eyes, original wig, Jumeau red earrings, wearing original muslin flowered chemise dress, undergarments, knit stockings, signed Jumeau shoes.
