Of fine white porcelain background with sky-blue borders and gilt edging centering colorful scenes of wild birds in garden settings, the service comprises 5"h. lidded soup tureen, smaller lidded tureen, 3 compote bowls, sauce bowl with under plate, 2 relish dishes, serving dish on pedestal, two pedestal bowls, four serving platters, two extra lids, and 18 various individual plates or bowls. Excellent condition, few small rim chips. A rare set with beautiful decorations in unusual petite size. French, circa 1875.
