Description

17" (43 cm.) overall. 13" doll. Standing upon a velvet covered platform that contains musical and mechanical device, is a bisque-headed doll with blue glass eyes, open mouth, row of tiny teeth, brunette mohair wig, carton torso, bisque hands. When wound, the doll turns her head from side to side, waves arms, while music plays. Marks: 1902 10/0. Comments: probably Renou, circa 1905. Value Points: delightful toy with pretty bisque face wears her perfect factory-original costume in magenta and ivory silk with lace and gilt braid trim, including matching jester cap, and carries a silk ribbon with tiny brass bells.
