Four miniature books with embossed gilt designs on the cover titled Le Feu, L'Air, La Terre, and L'Eau, each with two tinted engravings appropriate to their themes, are presented in a matching gilded box titled "Les Quatre Elements" (The four elements). Excellent condition of the rare set,the books in pristine state. French,mid-19th century.
