24" (61 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes in smaller eye sockets, dark eye liner, lushly painted lashes, rose eye shadow, brush stroked and multi-feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and outlined lips, separately modeled pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden body with plump limbs and straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 11. Comments: Emile Jumeau, an earliest example of the tete model, more closely resembling the incised depose bebe, with earlier body, having beautiful bisque and painting, beautiful original wig, pate, earrings, maroon velvet and silk frock and cap, undergarments, red knit stockings, black leather shoes with brown silk rosettes with maker's insignia.
