A bisque head with brown glass eyes, open mouth, painted features, blonde mohair wig, is attached to a weighted paper mache ball by curved brackets that allow the ball to swivel and twirl about while the doll's head stays forever upright. Condition: generally excellent. Value Points: a rare French toy with simple yet clever construction, whose original lace and silk jester costume is decorated with silver bells.
