14" (36 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, small blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted delicate lashes and brows, dark eye liner, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with upturned lip corners lending smiling expression, outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair wig over cork pate, antique lace bonnet, all-wooden body with deluxe dowel jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles, ball-swivel at the waist, kid collarette, included is (frail) antique gown and undergarments. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: D. Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1872, the smiling face model believed to represent Empress Eugenie was deposed that year. Value Points: fine original condition of the petite poupee with original deposed head and deposed wooden body.
