15" (38 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, large brown glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset-jointing. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2 (head and shoulder) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body stamp). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1878, the transition model poupee that evolved into his first period bebe. Value Points: rare signed body in pristine condition, original wig with braided detail, Jumeau earrings and original muslin chemise.
