12" (30 cm.) All-carved wooden with ball-socket swivel head, glass eyes, carved wide-open mouth with painted row of teeth, ball-socket jointed tail, hinged legs with leather feet. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Schoenhut, circa 1908, Style I alligator. Value Points: fine detail of carving, glass eyes, original shaded green coat with yellow underbelly, original leather feet.
