12" (30 cm.) x 9.5". The 1882 book was written by Marie Guerrier de Haupt, illustrated by Jules Desandre, published by Bernardin-Bechet & Fils, Paris, the book tells the history of seven dolls, as recounted by themselves, and provides to today's collector some interesting perspectives on 19th century dolls. There are 12 hand-tinted engravings, each featuring a doll. Excellent condition except looseness of binding.
