10" (25 cm.) Pink tinted bisque socked head with blonde painted baby hair, painted blue intaglio eyes, sculpted crying furrowed lines around the eyes and forehead, closed mouth modeled as though open in crying expression, shaded lips, composition bent limb baby body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Heubach (sunburst mark) 7684 Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912. Value Points: rare model with superb bisque and sculpting, original body finish, wearing beautiful antique costume including padded silk satin cap and cape in the Au Nain Bleu style, and with "Bapteme" candy container box having four miniature celluloid rattles.
