Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, almond shaped blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with smiling expression, accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, all-wooden body with dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles, ball-swivel waist, original kid collarette. Condition: hairline on right forehead to end of brow. Marks: C (head). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1872, both the smiling model head and body were deposed by Bru. Value Points: the desirable model has lovely bisque, original well-articulated body with original finish, and is presented in repose upon an early French scrolled iron bed with lace canopy and blue silk blankets and pillows.
