Description
11" (28 cm.) Posed upon a wooden platform with four cast iron wheels is a paper mache lamb with lush lambswool coat, kidskin face with glass eyes and sculpted nose and mouth, wooden lower legs. A hidden hinged mechanism at the neck is actually a bellows and, when the lamb's head is tipped forward, the lamb bleats "baa-a". Excellent condition. French, circa 1885. A rare toy well amusing functioning noise, original ribbons and brass bell decoration.
