18" (46 cm.) w. x 17" box. 4"h. piano. A paper-covered wooden box with lithographed label on lid "Ameublement" (furnishings) contains within its paper lace edged interior a complete parlor room setting with unusual faux-marble finish, comprising upright piano, console with mirrored mantel arranged with painted wooden base and candlesticks, fernery with silk flowers, settee, four chairs, oval table, piano stool; the upholstered pieces with rose silk covers. Excellent condition, unplayed with, the furnishings still tied to original box. For the French market, circa 1890, very rare to find in this original state of preservation.
