Description
8" (20 cm.) armoire. Comprising four wooden furnitures, viz. dresser with hinged mirror and mirrored door armoire in ebony finish with gilt stencils; secretary with drop front, fitted interior and columnar sides, and chest of drawers with columnar sides, each with mahogany finish; along with a 7" soft metal fire screen with gilded black finish and superb original needlework screen design. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1885. Value Points: fine cabinet work of the early miniatures and very fine and rare fire screen.
