Description
13" (33 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head doll with very delicate wax coating, bright blue glass sleep eyes, tinted lashes, slightly open mouth with tiny teeth, original blonde fleecy mohair wig, carton torso with bellows squeak mechanism, muslin upper limbs, loosely jointed wooden lower arms and legs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1865. Value Points: in fine original condition, the little doll wears its original cotton chemise, tulle and lace bonnet, white pique bunting, each trimmed with blue silk ribbons.
