Description
19" (48 cm.) overall. 6" doll. Porcelain shoulderhead with grey sculpted hair in very ornate 18th century style, tied with blue hair ribbon, painted features, blue eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, closed mouth, accent line between the lips, muslin torso and upper arms, porcelain arms to above the elbows, attached to wire-framed skirt cage which is covered with original fabrics and glass beading. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1900. Value Points: rare shoulderhead variation of half-doll, with very fine modeling and original cage skirt and costume.
