Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, painted lashes, lushly brush-stroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, auburn mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: B. 4 L. Comments: Bebe Louvre, made under commission by Emile Jumeau for the Paris department store, Au Louvre, circa 1890. Value Points: the distinctively modeled bebe has lovely bisque and painting, original body and body finish, and wears lovely antique costume including Jumeau knit stockings and black leather shoes signed "Paris Depose 4" by Jumeau. $3500/4500
