Pressed bisque socket head with plumply modeled cheeks, large dark blue glass paperweight inset eyes of great depth, thick dark eyeliner encircles the sockets, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth, defined space between the outlined lips, pierced ears, auburn mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent, tiniest eye rim flake on upper left rim. Marks: A. 9 T. Comments: Andre Thuillier, circa 1885. Value Points: splendid well-defined sculpting on the very rare bebe with loveliest bisque, complexion, and painting, original body and body finish, wearing (possibly original) ivory silk satin frock with matching pleated bonnet trimmed with Alencon lace and ribbons, undergarments, leather shoes with rosettes impressed with full figure of doll.
