23" (58 cm.) Pressed bisque socket head with very full cheeks, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, widely feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips, dimpled chin, separately modeled pierced ears, brunette human hand-tied hair over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose 10 (incised, head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1885, the model was made for one year only. Value Points: an exceptionally beautiful example of the rare model with great presence, original body and body finish, antique embroidered linen dress, undergarments, leather boots, lace cap.
