12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head with flattened solid dome, small brown glass inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair wig, Sonneberg composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 3. Comments: mystery maker, Sonneberg, circa 1885, made to resemble and capture the French bebe market. Value Points: appealing petite size, the little child wears her original (frail) magenta silk French style dress, undergarments, stockings, shoes, and lovely pressed flannel bonnet with magenta silk trim.
