11" (28 cm.) Pressed bisque socket head, pale blue glass eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with pale accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists and flat-cut derriere, nicely costumed in antique dress, bonnet, undergarments, socks and shoes. Condition: old hairline crack extends from right crown rim into the right eye and across the nose into the left cheek, another line on left cheek. Marks: Sch (shield on head and body) 4/0. Comments: Schmitt et Fils, circa 1882. Value Points: very dear and appealing bebe with original signed body.
