Description
18" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head, small brown glass sleep eyes, painted curly lashes, brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with pouty expression, brunette mohair bobbed wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing. Condition: generally excellent, one finger broken. Marks: K*R Simon & Halbig 115/A 48. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, "Phillip" from their art character series, circa 1914. Value Points: wonderful example of the pouty-faced character with rarer toddler body, superb bisque and sculpting, wearing blue woolen suit with brass buttons and matching sailor cap, stockings, black leather shoes.
