Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, thick black eyeliner, delicately painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid gusset-jointed lady body with stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (faint Brevete stamp on torso). Comments: attributed to Blampoix, the brevete stamp may refer to his deposes for glass eyes or swivel head, circa 1860. Value Points: beautiful face and complexion on the large early poupee with swivel head, superb antique brown taffeta and velvet costume with fur cape, straw bonnet, undergarments, stockings, shoes, and wonderful chatelaine with watch and turquoise beads.
