22" (56 cm.) h. 22"l. A wooden/paper mache donkey with hide cover has horsehair mane, glass eyes, leather ears, carved nose and mouth, elaborate harness and is fitted with wicker seat in side-saddle position. The donkey has wooden wheels for use as a pull toy. Very good condition, some hide wear. French, circa 1885, a wonderful and rare large example designed for play with dolls.
