Bisque socket head with plumply modeled cheeks, brown glass inset eyes, painted lashes, thick dark eye liner, brush stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with pale accented lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, Sonneberg composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, flake at left pierced ear hole. Marks: G.K. 34- 29. Comments: Gebruder Kuhnlenz, circa 1885, the model closely resembles the Bebe Brevete by Bru, whose market this doll was created to capture. Value Points: rare and beautiful doll with lovely sculpting, painting and bisque, original body and body finish, wearing pale bronze green silk dress with lace trim, undnergarments, matching green knit stockings and shoes, and woven hat with silk ribbons.
