9" (23 cm.) Each has composition socket head, painted facial features, side glancing eyes gazing at each other (he with brown eyes, she with blue eyes),closed mouth, white mohair wig in period style, five piece composition body. Condition: generally excellent, slight shelf dust and spot on Martha's costume. Marks: Effanbee Patsyette Doll. Comments: Effanbee, circa 1932, the dolls were issued to celebrate the 200th birthday of George Washington. Value Points: in fine unplayed with condition, the dolls were their vibrant original costumes and have original paper wrist tags, he with additional celluloid pin with profile bust of the 1st President and "George Washington 1732- 1932".
